Project
A picture is worth a thousand words, so just imagine how much you could say in three pictures! That‘s why emomi only let you send three emoji per message. And nothing else. Yes I‘m serious.
Background
Built pretty much just to prove a point, emomi was a native Android app with its backend mostly based on Firebase (account management, realtime database, cloud messaging) and Heroku (Node.js API).
Involvement
This pet project was 100% me (excluding the emoji), with inspirations taken from viral messenger „Yo“ and a similar project by British video maker Tom Scott. I promise there is a good and valid reason I built this, and have even given talks on this project. Feel free to ask me about it in person ;)
